We just began our 4th year of monthly art classes at VTC and recently added classes on Saturdays for the Special Needs Network (SNN). This doubled our class schedule and tripled our attendance!
Our third Gallery show and reception for the students was held in June at CORE Winery in olde Orcutt. On display were pieces in painting, mixed media, abstract drawing, sculpting and two new mediums for the students - silk painting and clay. It was a great experience for the students (artists!) as well as the teachers and the turn out was wonderful. The artists had a great time meeting everyone and seeing all the support from our community. It was a large show, with about 60 pieces with 48 pieces being sold; all proceeds went back directly to the artists! Thanks to all who supported this event.
Our students are as unique as the art they create - and we couldn't be more thrilled.
